About spoilers:
Most of the times, I an careful to avoid spoilers.
This is not true when it comes to classics, since I assume many
people have already read them. However I pay attention when it comes to
contemporary fiction and mysteries, not to reveal too
much about the plot, out of respect for both authors and readers. My
experience is that a review is quickly read and quickly forgotten,
but sometimes, one detail might be remembered and spoil the novel
for the reader. My apologies if such a thing happened to you...
About me:
I am the owner of this web site and sole
responsible for its content. My only authority for judging books is this of a reader. What I
recently read and reviewed is listed above, for the rest, see the
reviews
page. Since my first language is French, you might find spelling,
grammar, or more embarrassingly, words that don't mean what I think
they do. However, I try to check every review thoroughly before
publishing. This site is mainly in English because I read
mainly in English. Feel free to correct my mistakes when you
e-mail me.

I don't publish unrequested reviews, for the following reason: I
like this
web site and the ratings to reflect
my own tastes, however crappy you might find them.
Because there are many books and little time, and because I am picky
about the books I read, I don't review books on demand (that is,
unless you are an author I reviewed and like... in which case I
would be more than happy to review your new book!)
