  • ATTENTION: Discussing Book is moving, I am progressively transferring all my reviews to a blog, where you will be able to leave your comments. I hope you will enjoy the new Discussing Books, and thank you for your patience, if things are a bit chaotic for a while...

Welcome to Discussing Books
This web site features reviews of fiction and also some non-fiction books. As often as possible, I suggest further readings, such as other books by the same author, books on similar subjects, and links to relevant web sites. At the end of the review, the book is rated according to the following scale:
(barely readable...)
(ok but forgettable...)
(interesting...)
(a must read...)
(a masterpiece!)
The rating only reflects my opinion...

Part of this web site presents reviews written in French, under the category "Livres en français".

Under the category "Games", some literary games give you the opportunity to have fun while testing your knowledge...

The Quotes Page features quotes from books.

I welcome feedback, suggestions, new questions for future quizzes, new ideas for games, advice on books to read, etc., but I don't publish unrequested reviews. I also like to select freely whatever I will read and review next, so please don't ask me to review your book!  To students: If you find my reviews helpful, I am very glad. But please, don't ask me for further help on a book: do your own research...

Enjoy your visit on Discussing Books!
